With their love for each other growing stronger, David finally agrees to tell Kathryn about his relationship with Mary Margaret and put an end to his loveless marriage. Meanwhile, in the fairytale land that was, while runaway groom Prince Charming searches for Snow White, he agrees to aid Abigail on a dangerous mission to recover something precious that was lost to her.
UGH! I can’t even begin to express my annoyance with David. I want to like him, I really do. But he keeps making all these bad decisions that make everything worse. Not wanting anyone to get hurt does not justify lying to them. If he was so concerned with their feelings he wouldn’t have had the relations with Mary Margaret in the first place. On the other side, I really love James and applaud him helping Abigail free her first love. Why are they making James and David completely different characters? Most of the other characters have some sort personality connection to their fairytale selves, why is his so drastically different?
As for the development between Emma and August (thank you OUaT for finally giving us a name for the “Stranger”), I couldn’t have been happier about it. They’re keeping the mystery about August, without making it redundant or annoying. This episode added to the theory that this guy is the author of Henry’s book. With the sewing of the pages and everything, who else could he be?
Most of my speculation with the show recently centers around August. Will he and Emma continue to have this snarky flirtation, or is she still too wounded over Graham? With August’s intentions still a bit murky, do you think that Regina or Mr. Gold will attempt to find out who he really is? In addition to that, will Henry realize that August did something to his book?
I think at some point Henry will realize the stuff about his book. The kid has read that book how many times? He’s bound to notice if something is changed. And Regina has proved herself to be relentless, so going out of her way to find out who August really is, doesn’t seem all that unthinkable.
What are your thoughts on this episode?
