Crafting and Crafty: Folklore Crafts

For those who are unaware, I’m kind of addicted to making crafts. I’ve made my very own Snitch necklaces, a TARDIS purse (or two), and a collection of plush fandom characters. I even write weekly for an amazing site called GeekCrafts. I really love making silly geeky crafts.

So when Redd and Shayne asked me if I wanted to review a crafting book, I jumped at the chance. I was not disappointed.

Though my crafting is pretty limited at the moment to felt oriented things, as I flipped through the new book fromFabPubI was incredibly impressed with the quality and awesomeness of this book. Not that I would expect anything less from them.

Both books have excellent step by step instructions on how to make each craft. For those of us who are novices and attempting things for the first time, it’s nice to have clear instructions. Not only are the instructions pretty clear cut, but the crafts range from simple to advanced and everything in between.

This cute little cup cozie is just begging to be made.

And for those of us who just can’t break away from our love of Doctor Who, they even catered to our fandom love.

Here is my cute little gnome I made. Little and just fine.

The great thing about FabPub is the way they’re going about releasing the book. As opposed to finding it in a store, they’re releasing it mainly on e-book to those of us who prefer to have all the information saved and safe from runaway scissors. And for those of you who want to have the actual book in your fingers, you can actually buy a physical copy of the book.

Don’t just take my word for it, check out other reviews skip on over to FabPub and take a look at the book for yourself.

If you still don’t believe me that these are amazing crafting books, check out the rest of the tour and see what other people think.
